Education Through Music (ETM)

"Education Through Music" or (ETM)  has been a part of my teaching life for the past 15 years and I simply cannot imagine teaching music without using the strategies and teaching techniques I have learned through my study.
ETM does and excellent job of combining the very best of music pedagogy with a strong grounding in the most current brain research.  Mary Helen Richards founded the institute to further the study of how children learn and how to best teach music.   Each year The Richards Institute of Education and Research hosts ETM Winter Courses in various locations around the country.  There are also summer colloquiums held in one or two locations each summer.
